Let me tell you a bit about myself and my journey to where I am now. I started my working life as an electrical engineer which I did until I was 28 when I left to pursue a career with a national brewer here in the UK.  After working my way up to service manager I was pretty content but always had a yearning to work for myself and at that stage made probably the biggest mistake of my life.

Being a fairly cautious type I studied many business opportunities and decided to purchase a franchise selling cleaning chemicals from the back of a showroom vehicle. I had researched dozens of franchises until I settled on this one which gave me the freedom to work on my own and be out of the confines of a stuffy office. The problem was that I didn’t know the market I was working in (big lesson) but devoted five long and tough years to the business until I realised that the restraints of the franchise contract meant that the ever increasing price I had to pay to buy the chemicals from the franchisor meant that my profit margins would never allow me to make it the success that I wanted. I loved the work but finally admitted defeat and closed up in 1998.

One of the positives I had from my time at the brewery and with the chemicals was that I became a qualified group trainer and embarked on a career as a freelance delivering courses to small groups and companies specialising in Health and Safety/Food Hygiene/Manual handling etc etc and anything to pay the bills.  I was also dabbling in IT and training small groups on PC basics but still had a hankering to work from home. For a few years I tried to learn the basics of Internet Marketing but without any guidance I was a lamb to the slaughter as there are many sharks out there in the Internet waters just waiting to fleece any unsuspecting newbie’s and have no qualms about doing it.

I was able to survive without investing a great deal until one day I came across something called a Plug In Profit Site or PIPS for short which opened up a whole new world of marketing techniques and I eagerly signed up. The 30 days training was good but it soon became obvious that whilst a lot of what I learnt was useful there was a price to pay.  Most of the things I was recommended to sign up to had a fee and this is where a lot of new members fall by the wayside.   They would sign up for everything and throw away their money before they had made a cent.  It is very easy to think that you must spend a lot of money to get started on the right track in this business, NOT TRUE !!!.

I was at this point when my confidence was low and I was wondering if I could ever find success that I discovered the Affiliate Power Group, a bunch of former PIPS members who were fed up of seeing other members fail thru lack of guidance and had decided to set up their own mentoring site. Signing up with them changed everything for me. What you get with the APG is honest and genuine help, pure and simple. They are five successful Internet Marketers who will help you with any problems you may have.
